Wake Up Together is an online meditation community that was established in 2020 by Trina and partners. Our mission is to help support individuals in maintaining a solid meditation practice through practicing in an accessible and open-minded community. We meet every day, virtually. While we are rooted in the Vipassana-Insight tradition, our approach is also inclusive to all Buddhist meditation practices such as anapanasati (mindfulness of the breath), metta (loving-kindness), body scans, tonglen, and others.  The space that our meditators come to know is one that expresses itself as welcoming and embodying all views and interpretations of spirituality. 

We hold the commitment to remain humble and vulnerable in our role as the guides and door openers to the individual's inner journey. We aspire to shape the experience for participants to experience serenity, clear-seeing and profound understanding of the mind, and the [no] self through the practices, the guidance, the teachings, and the reflections offered in group sharing.

To solidify this spiritual aspiration is to make a commitment to sit in community with a predetermined frequency or as often as you can.

Mindfulness based Stress reduction (MBSR) - 8 week course

  • Mindfulness Base Stress Reduction was developed by Jon Kabat Zinn. Learn how to practice mindfulness to reduce stress and improve the quality of your well being. Learn the tools to navigate life challenges and discover new ways of coping with stress.

  • Trina gives talks on how to apply our practice to the real world to promote peace, compassion and wisdom. Saturday Sangha begins with a 30-40mins of guided meditation consisting of sitting and walking, or a posture of choice. Trina offers a Dharma talk on relevant issues we face from social and political issues to relational matters. Every challenge we face provides us with an opportunity to go deeper and see the law of nature. Our troubles can be the source of our awakening.

3 Day insight Retreat - mount adams

  • You are invited to come practice mindfulness with continuity. Practice in all postures to cultivate the energy of mindfulness and concentration. There will be guided meditations, instructions for practice and periods of mindful walking and mindful eating.
